Abstract: The links between diet and behaviour are complex. Any perturbation in metabolism, the brain control of appetite and behaviour or the cultural context can have an impact. Thus, disorders in this area span the interfaces between medicine, psychiatry, public health and lifestyle, and management may fall between different professional responsibilities.
