Abstract:Concussion, sometimes called a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), is an acquired brain injury resulting in alterations to brain function underpinned by a sequence of neuropathological and neurometabolic events that can result in excitotoxicity, oxidative stress, oedema, neuroinflammation and cell death.
