Nutritional analysis of three different cultured fishes of Bangladesh

Abstract: Nutritional Analysis of the firmed fish species named Pangas (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus), Mrigal (Cirrhinus cirrhosus), Carfu (Cyprinus carpio ) from cultured ponds, wholesale markets and local retail markets were studied in order to evaluate their percentage of moisture, protein, fat, ash. The study focused on the proximate composition and the mean value of moisture was 72.86% in Pangas, 75.16% in Mrigal, 73.23% in Carfu.
