“…The outcomes of the study clearly indicated that the proportion of underweight among adolescent girls was more in the transition area and in contrast, the proportion of overweight was more in urban areas. Rahman and Tripathi (2016) studied the nutritional status of adolescent girls in urban and rural areas of Kanpur and they revealed that 45% and 51% of adolescent girls were undernourished in urban and rural areas, respectively. Supporting our results, a study conducted by Alam et al (2010) in Bangladesh showed the prevalence of obesity was 15%.…”
