Abstract: From the anthropocene discussion as a starting point, the work seeks to present a contemporary panorama of suicide prevention, highlighting traditional societies, especially the Guarani-Kaiowá. The enormous pressure, confrontation and struggle with the Western European culture is constitutive of the situation.
