Abstract:Introduction
The left thoracophrenotomy approach to oesophagectomy or Sweet Oesophagectomy (SO) for oesophageal cancer is performed by many centres worldwide but seldom used in UK, owing to concerns over extent of lymphadenectomy compared with Ivor-Lewis oesophagectomy (ILO) approach.
