“…Behavioral changes after surgical anesthesia are not consistent across studies that vary in the nature of surgery or the country in which they were performed. Compared with studies from the United Kingdom using the same threshold as ours for behavioral changes, the incidence of NPOBCs in our study was higher . These studies enrolled children who had teeth extraction or other day case surgeries.…”

“…1 Hastaların diş tedavileri sırasında şiddetli kaygı ve korku duymaları lokal anestezi altında gerçekleştirilebilecek tedavi işlemlerini güçleştirmekte ve ek anestezi yöntemleri gerektirmektedir. [2][3][4] Öte yandan mental motor retardasyon gibi iletişim engelleri veya eşlik eden sistemik hastalıkların varlığı da dental tedaviler sırasında anestezi uygulanmasını zorunlu hale getirmektedir. Genel anesteziye kıyasla, kooperasyon ve fizyolojik reflekslerin korunduğu daha hızlı derlenme sağlayarak operasyon odasının verimliliğini, hasta konforunu, memnuniyetini ve işlemin güvenliğini arttıran sedoanaljezi [5][6][7] , kısa süreli günübirlik anestezi gerektiren minör cerrahi girişimlerde sıklıkla tercih edilir hale gelmiştir.…”
