Obtaining the frequency characteristics of a generator, operating in a power system for tuning channels of stabilization of an automatic excitation controller

Abstract: In this work we consider the issues concerning tuning of the channels of stabilization for the automatic excitation controller at a real object using the frequency response. We present a test procedure for the generator operating in the power system. Also, we give some recommendations for selecting the white-noise parameters, by which the frequency response is obtained. The results are considered on the example of four-machine scheme of the power system (the Kundur scheme).
