Abstract:Background
Methemoglobinemia is a rare, yet life-threatening disorder that occurs due to an accumulation of methemoglobin in the blood. The clinical presentation often includes dyspnea, cyanosis, and hypoxemia that shows little improvement with the administration of supplemental oxygen.
