This research article focuses on the ergonomic design of the workstations for the plastics industry plant to reduce the postural load that improves the workers’ productivity and the operators’ absenteeism due to musculoskeletal disorders. This article develops an innovative solution to deal with one of the main problems of the plastic industry, namely, the high rate of worker absenteeism generated by musculoskeletal disorders due to the high postural load at the stations of work in this industry. The research is divided into four stages, namely the Determination of the objectives through the analysis of the problem and its root causes, the Redesign of the work methodologies in the productive area, the Improvement in the activities and tools used in the production chain, and Evaluations of the different impacts that the proposal entails. A proposed model validated with the Delmia V5 software and evaluation methods such as RULA, REBA, and OCRA, made possible a reduction in the level of risk of 50% and 66.7% in the different jobs analyzed and obtained 42,929 PEN in savings per year in respect to the total costs generated by the absenteeism presented. The result of the new workstations satisfies the ergonomic aspects and the needs of the workers. The study focuses on an analysis of risk levels that occurred in each of the high-density bag production activities, where non-conformity was found regarding the high risks presented, those leading causes with inappropriate postures by the staff, non-optimal working conditions, and absence of ergonomic furniture. This research serves as the basis for future lines of research and other companies with similar characteristics to implement the model.

El objetivo del presente artículo fue identificar riesgos y accidentes laborales en el área de supervisión y fiscalización de la Superintendencia de Transporte Terrestre de Personas Carga y Mercancía - Unidad Desconcentrada de Lima – Callao. Actualmente, no existen investigaciones relacionadas con los riesgos y accidentes laborales presentes durante la jornada laboral en este organismo. La presente investigación fue de tipo experimental, de nivel descriptivo y de diseño transeccional causal. Los instrumentos empleados fueron una guía de observación, el formato de inspecciones internas de Seguridad y Salud en el trabajo y un cuestionario que se aplicó a 120 participantes. Se obtuvo como resultado que el 70,8% de los participantes no recibieron capacitación constante con temas relacionados a los riesgos existentes en el trabajo; por otro lado, el 92,5% no han sufrido accidentes leves, graves o incapacitantes por el uso inadecuado de los equipos de protección personal; el 53,3% mencionó que sí se han expuesto a riesgos físicos, 87,5% a riesgos ergonómicos. Se concluyó que los trabajadores no recibieron capacitaciones, estuvieron expuestos a riesgos físicos y ergonómicos, pero no presentaron accidentes a causa de ellos. Se recomienda mejor control de riesgos y la identificación de las causas que los originan con el propósito proveer planes que propicien minimizar los riesgos actuales en el ámbito laboral en el área de supervisión y fiscalización del transporte terrestre.

El ausentismo laboral ha tenido un aumento global progresivo y representa un desafío significativo. Este es un fenómeno multifactorial con interrelaciones entre factores individuales de arraigo en la persona, considera al trabajador como la unidad fundamental, con inquietudes, expectativas, necesidades, valores, habilidades y conocimientos. En el entorno hospitalario, las actividades laborales pueden desencadenar estrés, ansiedad y depresión, factores psicosociales que impactan el bienestar del personal de enfermería, afectando su rendimiento laboral y contribuyendo al ausentismo. Esta investigación identifica las causas primordiales del ausentismo laboral en enfermería de un Hospital General de Zona en Oaxaca. Se trata de una investigación descriptiva, transversal. Se aplicó el instrumento ALEP al personal de enfermería. Se realizaron 131 encuestas, se observó que el 77.86% eran mujeres y el 22.14% hombres. El grupo más representado tenía entre 20 y 35 años (51.15%). Los trabajadores están el 35.88% en el matutino, en el vespertino el 33.59%, y en el nocturno el 20.53%. El área de hospitalización es el 56.49%. En cuanto a la antigüedad laboral, el 48.85% tenía entre 0 y 10 años de servicio. Existe un mayor ausentismo los fines de semana. Los factores principales del ausentismo fueron los institucionales, con 43.26%, reflejando una sobrecarga laboral. Este estudio revela que la distribución por turno y género concuerda con tendencias descritas sobre roles de género en el personal de enfermería. Además, la alta concentración de ausencias los fines de semana se alinea con investigaciones previas sobre ausentismo en personal de enfermería a nivel global.
