Abstract:Occurrence of placer gold is reported for the first time in the insitu and colluvial gravels derived from amphibolite/hornblende schist, associated pegmatite and quartz veins of Nagamangala schist belt in Marlagalla –Allapatna areas, Mandya district, Karnataka.
