Ocular surface and in vivo confocal microscopic findings in patients with active tyhroid eye disease treated with glucocorticoids

Abstract: Objectives To evaluate the effect of treatment with high-dose glucocorticoids (HDG) on ocular surface parameters and in vivo confocal microscopy (IVCM) findings in patients with active thyroid eye disease (TED). Methods This study included 15 active TED patients treated with a cumulative HDG dose of 4.5g (500 mg and then 250 mg for 6 weeks each).
