“…Las ulceraciones gástricas se consideran de naturaleza multifactorial, donde factores inherentes al animal, como sexo, raza, edad, temperamento, al igual que factores extrínsecos, como manejo alimentario, estabulación, administración de antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (AINE), tipo e intensidad del ejercicio y entrenamiento y eventos estresantes, se han implicado como factores predisponentes al generar desequilibrio entre los mecanismos de defensa de la mucosa gástrica y los agentes agresores tanto endógenos como exógenos (Banse y Andrews 2019;Martínez y Silveira 2014;Martínez et al 2015;Murray y Eichorn 1996;Padalino et al 2020;Pedersen et al 2018).
