Od CAQDAS do Text Miningu. Nowe techniki w analizie danych jakościowych

Abstract: Streszczenie. Show more

“…In the process of building an ontology model of the field of contemporary qualitative research based on a multidimensional content analysis of methodological journals, we moved from traditional qualitative analysis, based on a text coding procedure, to quantitative content analysis. In our methodological approach, we combine corpus linguistics methods with computer-assisted qualitative data analysis (CAQDAS), content analysis, as well as natural language processing and text mining procedures (Berry 2004;Wiedemann, 2013;Bryda, Tomanek, 2014;Bryda, 2014;. In the realm of contemporary qualitative research field, the shift from traditional qualitative analysis to a multidimensional approach combining quantitative content analysis, corpus linguistics, CAQDAS, and natural language processing (NLP)/text mining is driven by several compelling reasons.…”

“…The publications in the field of CAQDAS show that software development and its analytical functionalities tend towards the methods and procedures of textual and visual data content analysis. Conversely, an emerging trend integrates computer-aided qualitative data analysis with methods from the digital humanities, natural language processing, and text mining (Bryda 2014;Bryda and Tomanek 2014). This convergence has given rise to the new interdisciplinary field of Digital Qualitative Sociology (Bryda 2014).…”

“…This is what many social scientists refer to as the 'narrative turn' (Polkinghorne 1988;Czarniawska-Joerges 2004;Kreiswirth 2005). analysis phrase extraction, the CAQDAS and Content Analysis dictionary-based coding (Bryda 2014a;Bryda and Tomanek 2014),and a hierarchical clustering and topic modeling, which are text-mining tools for discovering hidden semantic structures in a textual corpus (Cheng 2012). This new approach to the typology of narrative analysis is a part of the bigger research project on domain ontology as knowledge representation about qualitative research practices (Bryda and Martini 2016;…”
