Odd parity bottom-flavored baryon resonances

Abstract: The LHCb Collaboration has recently observed two narrow baryon resonances with beauty. Their masses and decay modes look consistent with the quark model orbitally excited states Λ b (5912) and Λ * b (5920), with quantum numbers J P = 1/2 − and 3/2 − , respectively. We predict the existence of these states within a unitarized meson-baryon coupled-channel dynamical model, which implements heavy-quark spin symmetry. Masses, quantum numbers and couplings of these resonances to the different meson-baryon channels a… Show more

“…The masses and decay constants are taken from Refs. [31,34]. The SU(6) × SUC (2) × UC (1) and SU(3) × SU(2) labels are displayed as well (for simplicity we do not explicitly give the spin of the heavy quark sector, since it is trivially 0 or 1/2.)…”

“…Then, it is appealing to construct a model for four flavors including all basic hadrons (pseudoscalar and vector mesons, and 1/2 + and 3/2 + baryons) which reduces to the WT interaction in the sector where Goldstone bosons are involved and which incorporates HQSS in the sector where heavy quarks participate [31][32][33][34][35]. This SU(6)×HQSS model is justified in view of the reasonable semi-qualitative outcome of the SU(6) extension [62] and on a formal plausibleness on how the SU(4) WT interaction in the heavy pseudoscalar meson-baryon sectors comes out in the vector-meson exchange picture.…”

“…are also P -wave charmed baryon candidates of the flavor 6 F [7-13]. These charmed baryons are interesting in a theoretical point of view, and many phenomenological methods/models were proposed to study them [14], such as various quark models [15][16][17][18][19][20], various dynamical models [21][22][23][24][25][26], the hyperfine interaction [27,28], and the Lattice QCD [29][30][31], etc [32][33][34][35][36]. Their productions and decay properties were studied in Refs.…”
