Abstract:A finite production rate (FPR) system with delayed differentiation, scrap, and multi-delivery policy using a two-machine production scheme was explored by a conventional calculus method [1]. This paper provides an unconventional approach to this specific problem and demonstrates that its solution procedure can be free of derivatives. The production planner now has an alternative way to study such a complex FPR system.
