On a Model of a Polycondensation Process with Thermal Degradation

Abstract: A mathematical model of the melt polycondensation of polyethylene terephthalate respecting degradation reaction is considered. In the framework of this model simple approximate formulas for predicting the temporal evolution of the average degree of polymerization are established.
