On Design of a Triple Elliptical Super Wideband Antenna for 5G Applications

Abstract: A novel compact triple elliptical monopole antenna has been designed, analyzed and fabricated for super wideband applications. To enhance the impedance bandwidth, the author proposed a monopole antenna with a triple elliptical patch excited by a 50Ω triangular tapered microstrip feedline. Further improvement is achieved by optimally modifying the Defected Ground Structure (DGS) of the antenna.
