On macroscopic elastic properties of isotropic discrete systems: effect of tessellation geometry

Abstract: Discrete mesoscale models of heterogeneous materials attracts increased attention thanks to their robustness, relative simplicity and direct representation of complex phenomena taking place during fracture initiation and propagation.
