On the Active Failure Surface in the Backfilled Clay behind Rigid Retaining Wall in Slope Engineering

Abstract: In the classical Coulomb’s earth pressure theory, the failure surface in the backfilled clay behind rigid retaining wall in slope engineering is assumed a plane.
