Abstract:An attempt is made to analyse the problem of the conduction band type (o or x) in HTSC copper oxides. It is established that the o-character of this band may take place only under the condition of strong pd-hybridization between p-and d-holes from the upper Hubbard subband. The effect of nonstoichiometry on delocalized carriers consists in a possible appearance of discrete levels or a change in the spectrum as a whole. The estimate of these carriers damping as a function of nonstoichiometry shows that the damp… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
