On the cohomology of finite soluble groups

Abstract

Cohomological vanishing theorems in dimensions 1 and 2 are established for finite soluble groups. Applications are given to splitting and conjugacy theorems, and also to the structure of automorphism groups of finite soluble groups with nilpotent length at most 3.Mathematics Subject Classification.
