On the critical displacement of excited kinetic units in liquids and glasses

Abstract: The critical displacement of an atom (a group of atoms) in inorganic glasses ∆ r m , which corresponds to the maximum of the interatomic attractive force, is calculated using available data on the surface tension and elastic constants.
