On the dynamics of protected ramond ground states in the D1-D5 CFT

Abstract: We examine the behavior of the Ramond ground states in the D1-D5 CFT after a deformation of the free-orbifold sigma model on target space ($$ {\mathbbm{T}}^4 $$ T 4 )N/SN by a marginal interaction operator. These states are compositions of Ramond ground states of the twisted and untwisted sectors. They are characterized by a conjugacy class of SN and by the set of their “spins”, including both R-charge and “internal” … Show more

“…By carefully making this identification, we derive all HLLH correlators for light operators in chiral multiplets, in the AdS 3 limit. We find exact and highly non-trivial agreement with the small subset of known examples [13,27,28]. We further identify the precise relation with the HCFT at the symmetric orbifold locus.…”

“…More general light operators and values of s ± can be treated analogously. The relevant four-point function was studied recently in [28,45,46] in the Sym N (T 4 ) CFT. At large N the correlator is dominated by a contribution from a covering space with genus zero.…”

“…In section 3, we apply the language developed in section 2 for generic Q-point functions, to study (1.2) in full detail. Generalizing our previous works [40,41], where similar functions were considered, here we work at the level of M N /S N orbifolds, i.e. focusing only on the twists, not on the specific form of the fields X ζ…”
