Abstract:In this paper, the gene sequences involved in Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) were analyzed by fractal analysis. In order to obtain a quantitative characterization of nucleotide patterns and to identify anomalies and singularities belonging to genes, the fractal dimension (FD) and lacunarity were studied as fractal parameters. To obtain accurateparametric values, the Binary Image Indicator Matrix (BIIM) was used. This method converts uni-dimensional sequences into 2-D images preserving the autocorrelation. The re… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
