On the general-order kinetics of the thermoluminescence glow peak

Abstract: Previous workers have suggested an equation for the generalader kinetics of an isolated thermoluminescence (TL) glow peak which cannot be explained by the usual ,%st-or secondader kinetics. The difficulty with respect to the general-xder equation is d a t e d to the dimension of the pre-exponential Bdor which has an unacceptable meaning. Also, the f q u e n q tactor S in the case of the generalader equation is found to vary in the same sample when the dose is varied. The unacceptable meaning of the dimensions … Show more

“…The sample temperature was raised at the constant heating rate of 0.25 K s −1 , and the total emitted radiation was collected by a photomultiplier EMI-9816 QB. The experimental curve was analyzed according to the generalized-order kinetic model of TSL [32,33].…”

“…However, empirical analytical expressions describing second and GO TL kinetics predict a change of the shape of TL glow curves, as well as a shift of T max with the irradiation dose [5,6,14,15]. The analytical expression for the empirical GO kinetics equation is [15]:…”
