As the molecular weight of the PS matrix decreases, an increase in the viscosity ratio between the disperse and continuous phases (η d /η c ) can be promoted (Baer 1972) as well as a greater migration of low molecular weight PS chains from the PS/St phase toward the PB/St phase, leading to an increase in particle size by occlusions growth (Yenalyev et al 1983).
