The article examines the actual results and global nutrition goals for 2030, the impact of changes in the number of urban and rural populations in the world on food security indicators. It is noted that food security varies around the world, and a certain part of regions and countries are much more susceptible to food insecurity, not only because of limited labor resources and financial capital, but, above all, because of the insufficient amount of fertile land. Measures are proposed to improve the efficiency of the use of land resources in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
