On the issue of using RFID technologies in the activities of production units of the penal system

Abstract

The article describes the possibility of using radio frequency identification of objects (RFID) technology in the practical activities of an economic entity. The principle of operation of RFID technology in practical conditions is described. The analysis of digital technologies used at Russian enterprises is given, indicating that this technology is in fifth place in terms of distribution. The industries where the use of this technology has yielded tangible results are given. The main advantages of this system in comparison with barcodes and QR codes are listed. The possible directions of application of this technology in production units are highlighted.
