“…They proposed the (A 1g + T 2g ) ⊗ (a 1g + e g + t 2g + t 1u ) vibronic coupling scheme but without detailed solution of the problem. This scheme has been more fundamentally studied in a linear approximation by Bersuker and Polinger [26] and by Maaskant and Bersuker [27] although an alternative (E g + E u ) ⊗ (e g + e u ) scheme has been also proposed [28]. Effects of the third and fourth order anharmonicity were taken into account in description of the experimental results of the SrO:Ni + system [29].…”

“…After centrifugation and purification of the precipitates, the orange solution containing the CsCuCl 3 NCs would be obtained (Figure a). The CsCuCl 3 crystal has an achiral P 6 3 / mmc structure above the transition temperature ( T c = 423 K), and below that temperature changes to a chiral crystal structure belonging to P 6 1 22 (right-handed) or P 6 5 22 (left-handed) through the cooperative Jahn–Teller effect, ,, inducing the constituent Cu atoms to be distorted from the normal position so that a helix chain is formed along the c -axis (Figure b). Figure c shows an enlarged view of such quasi-one-dimensional chains of Cu(II) ions, displaying the right-/left-handed helical array with a period of six ions along the c -axis, respectively.…”

“…Hence, a more accurate confining potential model, though less generic, can be obtained using a more detailed formulation of the crystal field and the JT distortion for the particular case of CsCuCl 3 -see, eg., Ref. [37]. Finally, our estimate of the unknown combination C D/L δ in terms of α A [Eq.…”
