Solvation enthalpies are calculated from the Kirkwood formula for dipole solvation and shown to lead to reasonable activation energies for ozonation of alkanes, alcohols and acetals and all of which produce the hydrotrioxides. Razumovskii et al (71) studied the kinetics of absorption by elastomers, using ozone by butyl, natural, neoprene, SKD, SKI-3 and SKS-30 ARKP rubber vulcanisates in a small glass compartment for diffusion controlled.
