On the mechanism of wogonin against acute monocytic leukemia using network pharmacology and experimental validation

Xixi Wang,
Yanfei Wang,
Jing Chen
et al.

Abstract: Wogonin is a natural flavone compound from the plant Scutellaria baicalensis, which has a variety of pharmacological activities such as anti-cancer, anti-virus, anti-inflammatory, and immune regulation. However, the potential mechanism of wogonin remains unknown. This study was to confirm the molecular mechanism of wogonin for acute monocytic leukemia treatment, known as AML-M5. The potential action targets between wogonin and acute monocytic leukemia were predicted from databases. The compound-target-pathway … Show more

“…Based on the network pharmacology results, we performed molecular docking of VD2 and VD3 with four target proteins. The PDB IDs corresponding to the targets are as follows: ESR1 and 1A52 (Yang et al, 2024), KIT and 3G0E (Chaudhari & Bari, 2016), CCND1 and 2W96 (Wang et al, 2024), and PGR and 3CZF (Geng et al, 2024). Table 2 lists the lowest free binding energies after molecular docking.…”
