On the New Mechanical Press With a Planetary Gear Train

Abstract: A new 1-DOF mechanical press with a geared eight-bar linkage mechanism is presented. The proposed press can generate the required kinematic and dynamic performance for drawing, stamping, deep drawing, and precision cutting processes by simply adjusting the offset of the ram. The press consists of an elementary planetary gear train with a pair of planet gears, a slider-crank mechanism, and a slider-crank mechanism with a variable-length crank. The configuration and a solid model are described, and a kinematic a… Show more

“…Neokrugi zupčanici imaju široku primenu u mašinstvu i koriste se u situacijama kada je potrebno obezbediti proizvoljno kretanje izlaznog člana mehanizma [6]. Primena neokruglih zupčanika u sklopu prese sa definisanim zakonom kretanja izlaznog člana prikazana je u [7]. Takođe u [8].…”

“…After clarifying the motion states of the kinematic pair with clearance, the specific analysis needs to be implemented into the mechanical analysis of the contact surface. There are two main methods for modeling and analyzing the contact-collision problem: the discrete analysis method and continuous analysis method [6]. The discrete analysis method, also known as the non-smooth rigid-body analysis method, assumes that impacts occur instantaneously, primarily using linear complementarity and differential variation inequalities.…”
