Abstract:Recently, pathological and anatomical studies of Russian and foreign neuropathologists have established the undoubted fact that changes found in partial epilepsy are not only in the motor cortical zone of the large brain, but also in all parts of the large brain, in particular, in subcortical nodes (and, possibly, in the medulla oblongata, Volland). My teacher, Prof. A. V. Favorsky, drew attention to this in his last work on partial epilepsy (Kaz. Med. Magazine, 1926, No. 5-6).
