On the Processing of Dual-Channel Receiving Signals of the LuTan-1 SAR System

Abstract: LuTan-1 (LT-1) is an innovative spaceborne radar Earth observation mission including two satellites equipped with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) which will be launched in 2022. Active phased array antennas that can be divided into two physical channels are equipped on each satellite. The signal can be transmitted through the full antenna without broadening and recorded by each channel. Therefore, two methods can be used to preprocess the dual-channel receiving signals, referred to as dual-channel echo reconstr… Show more

“…In January 2022, China successfully launched the first civilian L-band differential interferometric SAR01 satellite, the Lutan-1 A satellite. In February of the same year, the L-band differential interferometric SAR02 satellite Lutan-1 B satellite was also successfully launched into orbit, forming a dual constellation with the A satellite, which is China's first civilian dual-satellite formation differential deformation measurement satellite [22]. Lutan-1 supports two formation modes, as shown in Figure 5.…”

“…The Lutan-1 (LT-1) mission is China's first civilian spaceborne bistatic synthetic aperture radar mission, consisting of two fully polarimetric L-band SAR satellites successfully launched on 26 January and 28 February 2022, respectively. LT-1 continuously provides high-quality observation data and interferometric data products for land monitoring and other purposes [5,6].…”
