On the role of IgG4 in inflammatory conditions: lessons for IgG4-related disease

Abstract: The pathophysiology of immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) and its most common manifestations, IgG4-associated (sclerosing) cholangitis and autoimmune pancreatitis, remains largely unknown, but IgG4 is presumably involved.
