Abstract:The processes of K+- and K−-meson production in reactions Ne+NaF , Ne+Pb and Si+Si at E kin =2.1 GeV/N are considered within the framework of the nuclear pionization model. Model calculations are in agreement with experimental data. It is shown that K+-mesons having small absorption cross-section are produced at the relatively early stage of the cluster expansion whereas K−-mesons having large absorption cross-section are produced simultaneously with pions at the relatively late stage of the process.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
