Abstract:The structure of the lowest states of a three-electron axially symmetric parabolic quantum dot in a zero magnetic field is investigated. It is shown that the electronic density of the quartet 4 Sstates possesses certain approximate symmetry which is best seen when using Dalitz plots as the visualization tool. It is demonstrated that the origin of that symmetry is caused by the symmetry of the potential energy in the vicinity of its minimum. The discovered symmetry could provide an insight into the problem of t… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
