On the use of CMN thermometry in specific heat measurements below 10 mK

Abstract: It is pointed out that small deviations of the cerium magnesium nitrate (CMN) temperature scale from the thermodynamic one, may give rise to significant errors in interpretation of specific heat measurements performed with CMN-based thermometry. On reassessing the conclusions reached by Hebral et al. [1] concerning the anomalous low temperature dependence of the specific heat of solid 3He it is found that all presently available data are in qualitative agreement
