Abstract:<p><strong>OBJECTIVE:</strong> Approved treatments for type 2 diabetes in pediatric patients include metformin, liraglutide, and insulin. However, approximately half of the youth fail metformin monotherapy within 1 year, and insulin therapy is associated with challenges.
