Color is a captivating aspect of our perception, profoundly influencing how we interact with and interpret the world. As a fundamental element of visual experience, it shapes emotions, preferences, and even physiological responses. Beyond its esthetic and emotional impact, color serves practical purposes across various fields, including medicine for diagnostics and therapeutic applications and in industrial sectors for quality control and product identification. Colorimetric sensors that are user-friendly, portable, instrument-free, and low cost, yet provide sensitive and selective detection for various analytes, are essential for point-of-need and point-of-care applications.
