Abstract:Iron (III) trifluoromethanesulfonate [Fe (OTF)3] has been proven to be an effective catalyst in the synthesis of 2-phenylquinoline-4-carboxylic acid by the Doebner reaction using one-pot pyruvic acid, aniline, and benzaldehyde.
