Abstract:Battery Recycling
In article number 2211946, Bartosz A. Grzybowski and co‐workers present a one‐pot separation of metals from spent lithium‐ion batteries. Three liquid layers occupy different segments of the rotating cylindrical vessel and are intensely stirred to move selected components between layers. In only ten minutes, all cobalt and manganese migrate from the feed to the acceptor layer (red), while lithium and nickel remain in the processed feed layer (green).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
