Abstract:Plasmonic Cu nanoparticles were in situ grown into a Cu 2 O semiconductor matrix by using reactive magnetron sputtering and adjusting the amount of oxygen available during the synthesis in order to prevent the oxidation of part of the copper atoms landing on the film surface. Varying only the oxygen flow rate (OFR) and using a single Cu target, it was possible to observe the evolution in the simultaneous formation of metallic Cu and Cu 2 O phases for oxygen-poor conditions. Such formation is accompanied by the… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
