“…The median DFIs of 12.4 months after the first TCR, 15.3 months after the second TCR, 10.5 months after the third TCR, and 10.9 months after the fourth TCR indicate that even in cases of recurrent APA, TCR can provide a sufficient time interval within which to conceive. Elective cesarean section is not necessary after TCR surgery [8]. In the present study, 4 of 5 deliveries were normal and spontaneous, and only 1 patient required a cesarean delivery owing to a fetal condition.…”

“…Typically, a resectoscope is used to shave the myoma from the uterus. In the present study, TCR was performed using a 1-step hysteroscopic resection method as described previously [8]. In this technique, the tumor was first dissected away from the endometrium or myometrium using a Lin dissecting loop (Karl Storz, Tuttlingen, Germany), then cut into pieces with a conventional cutting loop and retrieved using a Lin myoma grasper or placental forceps under ultrasound guidance.…”

“…In women who wish to retain fertility after transcervical resection of myomata, 8 we insert an FD-1 IUCD to prevent intrauterine adhesions and remove the IUCD 1 month later at the time of second-look hysteroscopy. It is easy to perform the hysteroscopic examination with the FD-1 IUCD in place and when the woman is not having her menstruation.…”
