One‐Step Synthesis of (CH3NH3)2CuCl4:ZnS Thin Film for Optoelectronic Applications

Abstract: Improving device performance and reducing Pb-toxicity is one of the fundamental issues of perovskite-based optoelectronic technology. This research demonstrates the synthesis and characterization of pure and ZnS incorporated Cu-based organic-inorganic perovskite via the precursor blending method. The thin films of the perovskites are deposited via one-step spin coating method. X-ray diffraction of all the films reveals the cubic phase where a decrease of cell volume is observed after ZnS addition. The average … Show more

“…Since the absorption spectra are obtained through the electronic excitation energy of the structures, a red/blue shift of the absorption edge represents the decrease/increase of the energy gap. 53–55 The red shift of the absorption edge satisfies the reduction of the energy gap due to adsorption. The AC is related to the reflectivity by the following equations, 56–58 Abs = cεd ,Abs = −log(Tr),where Abs, Tr, and Ref stand for absorbance, transmittance, and reflectance.…”

“…This alteration results in the chemical structure of these double perovskites, which can be described as A 2 M + M 2+ X 6 , where A can represent CH(NH 2 ) + or CH 3 NH 3 + . In our research, we conducted experimental studies to examine the spectral characteristics of lead-free (CH 3 NH 3 ) 2 CuCl 4 [11,[20][21][22] PSCs.…”
