Signature verification is one of the most widely accepted verification methods in use. The application of handwritten signatures includes the banker's checks, the credit and debit cards issued by banks and various legal documents. The time factor plays an important role in the framing of signature of an individual person. Signatures can be classified as: offline signature verification and online signature verification. In this paper a time independent signature verification using normalized weighted coefficients is presented. If the signature defining parameters are updated regularly according to the weighted coefficients, then the performance of the system can be increased to a significant level. Results show that by taking normalized weighted coefficients the performance parameters, FAR and FRR can be improved significantly.

Biometrics is a rising technology, which has been extensively used in robotics areas financial services, forensics, secured access, prison security, medical, telecommunication, ecommerce, government, traffic, health care the security issue are more essential. Biometric-based personal identification is high applicability in an extensive range of security application but Multimodal biometrics is the way to reduce time density and give better recognition rate. The concert rate of unimodal biometric is frequently reduced due to the user mode and physiological defects. We have referred papers related to face, ear and signature. Identity verification based on authenticity assessment of a handwritten signature is an important issue in biometrics. There are many effective methods for signature verification taking into account dynamics of a signing process. Methods based on partitioning take a very important place among them. In this paper we propose a new approach to signature partitioning. Its most important feature is the possibility of selecting and processing of hybrid partitions in order to increase a precision of the test signature analysis. Partitions are formed by a combination of vertical and horizontal sections of the signature. Vertical sections correspond to the initial, middle, and final time moments of the signing process. In turn, horizontal sections correspond to the signature areas associated with high and low pen velocity and high and low pen pressure on the surface of a graphics tablet. Our previous research on vertical and horizontal sections of the dynamic signature (created independently) led us to develop the algorithm presented in this paper. Selection of sections, among others, allows us to define the stability of the signing process in the partitions, promoting signature areas of greater stability (and vice versa).
