Open Reconstruction of Huge Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms: Postoperative Complications

Abstract: Was to study the results of open surgical reconstruction of huge abdominal aortic aneurysms (HAAAs) & their complications. Patients and methods: Twenty eight patients with huge abdominal aortic aneurysms were studied in the period from October 2012-March 2015. The diagnosis was done by: history, clinical examination, various imaging which included: Duplex Ultrasound, CTA, MRA, DSA & Mid-stream aortography. Open aortic reconstruction was done by using Bifurcated graft (Collagen coated or PTFE ) or aneurysmorrha… Show more

“…As a final remark, it should be noted that at the expected particle concentration, the particles neither affect the carrier fluid, nor significantly impact each other, hence one-way coupling is chosen consistent with a similar study by Salem. 37 However, one-way coupling is only valid with a low volumetric fraction of 10 −7 according to Sommerfield. 49 Consequently, the particles injection rate into the domain is bounded by this limit.…”

“…A sand erosion model is used to assess the amount of material removed from the blade material and subsequently the eroded profile is generated with the erosion depths subtracted from the airfoil surface. In both cases, the domain around the degraded airfoil profile is re-meshed using ICEM and the progression of deposition or erosion is calculated quasi-statically over 1 year with a period of 3 months which is deemed as a reasonable time step according to the recommendation of Salem 37…”

“…[4] Copper nanoparticles have a place with monoclinic structure framework. As a p-type semiconductor, [5] copper nitrate has a much larger optical band hole (2.43 eV) than mass Cu nanoparticles (1.85 eV). [6] Hydrothermal, sol-gel, microwave irradiation, combustion, gas condensation, and other physical and chemical processes have been employed to generate CuO nanoparticles.…”
