Operating Performances of the Water-source Heat Pump System Coupled with PV/T Collector for Heating

Abstract

An energy supply system that can achieve complementary usage of solar and electric energy is the PV/T collector linked water-source heat pump and electric boiler composite system. TRNSYS simulates the system in this study after each piece of equipment is given a mathematical model. The inlet and outlet water temperatures of the evaporator side and condenser side of the water-source heat pump, the inlet and outlet temperatures of the electric boiler, and the inlet and outlet water temperatures of the source side and load side of the thermal storage tank are all examined in order to determine how well the system operates. The findings demonstrate that by warming the water in the water collecting tank, PV/T performs admirably as a low-temperature heat source for the evaporator side of the water-source heat pump. The condenser side, in contrast, consistently produces hot water at 45°C. The load side of the storage tank’s outlet temperature is between 43°C and 45°C, which is sufficient to suit the users’ heating needs. The source side of the storage tank additionally receives 50°C hot water heated by the electric boiler at night.
