Operation features of the expert system for tree and shrub pruning

Maxim Logachev,
Leliya Krylova

Abstract: The article defines the importance of tree and shrub pruning for the environment of settlements and farms engaged in the cultivation of fruit plants. Such a process requires taking into account many parameters of both the plant itself and external conditions. This justifies the need to develop and use a software product capable of tracking over time the activities associated with pruning a plant and making recommendations to specialists for effective branch removal depending on the parameters of the setting. “…Such an approach was carried out in the current study, which resulted in data suitable for use at the stage of program code creation. In addition, the researchers note that the created formal models allow estimating the composition of transformed processes, the load on the specialists involved in them in order to ensure the efficiency of the whole process [4,10,11]. Analyzing the obtained results of modeling, we can conclude that the obtained model corresponds to such a concept.…”

“…The integrated use of structural analysis methods, information modeling and BPMN methodology allowed us to develop a process model reflecting the reaction of the module generating advertising to changes in the states of the information system. The functionality of such a system is described in the work of Logachev [10]. Specific functions include the functions of creating a digital twin of a tree, automatic generation of works that allow to form different types of crowns, to receive recommendations on sanitary pruning of trees depending on seasonality, maintenance of tree history.…”

“…To create technical documentation to support and implement the above processes, researchers create formal models that reflect certain aspects of the problem domain (e.g., the structure of processed data, the system's response to external influences or changes in the characteristics of objects) [6,10,14]. The created models in the course of the current research allow to determine the categories of users of the software product under development, to establish the functional capabilities available to them and peculiarities of their realization.…”

“…With its help, researchers in their works define the key entities of processes, their characteristics and the relationships between them [7][8][9]. With the help of the obtained results, the rules and constraints that arise in the behavior of objects in the subject area when changing any parameters are described [3,10]. As noted by the authors of studies based on the digitalization of any processes, the results obtained in the course of such modeling allow to determine the software and hardware required to create a digital product, and to establish the nature of the work being carried out [4,6,11].…”

“…The formal model was created using a graphical method that allowed implementing the methodology of functional modeling (IDEF0). With its help, researchers display the structure and functions of a system of any complexity and subject area [7,11,12]. It is used to establish the requirements and functions of a model that integrates the interaction of specialists, resources and processes.…”
